Auth Button Blocker

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 27, 2026

Auth Button Blocker removes configured social sign-in buttons on web pages visited by the user.

Data Collected

Auth Button Blocker does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.

Stored Preferences

The extension stores the user's preferences, such as enabled providers, allowlisted sites, optional custom CSS selectors, and display language, using Chrome's chrome.storage.sync API. Depending on the user's Chrome settings, Chrome may synchronize these preferences across the user's signed-in browsers.

Website Access

The extension reads page content locally in the browser solely to detect and remove configured social sign-in buttons. Page content is not transmitted to the extension developer or to external servers.

Limited Use

Auth Button Blocker's use of website content and stored preferences complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Access to page content is used only to provide the extension's single purpose. User data is not transferred for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose, and is not made available for human review.

Remote Code

Auth Button Blocker does not execute remotely hosted code.

Changes

If this policy changes, an updated version will be published at the same URL with a revised update date.
